R.O.S.S. Service Coordination Program
Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency

What is a service coordinator?

The role of a ROSS Service Coordinator serves essentially as a liaison between HHA Residents and the programs or organizations available to serve them. A successful program depends grealy on open, honest communication between the ROSS Service Coordinator(RSC), site manager, and the residents of a particular community.

The RSC not only supplies information to address your current needs, but also provides direction as you plan for the future. They will assist the resident to establish goals, identify the barriers to success, and match them to programs and services available to overcome such barriers. Through this process, the resident becomes equipped to accomplish goals such as building personal assets (i.e. additional education) and training for a better job.

You can make a difference for...

Your Family

  • Utilize the programs and services offered at HHA's Family Resource Center with Marcum Terrace.
  • Volunteer at your child's school, attend the activities they participate in.
  • Encourage open communication between all memebers of your family.
  • Work together to accomplish goals.

Your Community

  • Ask for information about clubs or groups that meet in your community.
  • Help strengthen area Resident Councils by attending meeting and providing feedback to HHA
  • Organzie community service and/or improvement events in the community.

Yourself

  • Continue Education/Career training.
  • Attend workshops and activities offered by HHA.
  • Focus on health and nutrition.
  • Schedule regular physicals and screenings.
  • Continue to seek knowledge, expand your wisdom.
